Supima Cotton
The Follow The Summer L/S Crew is made out of Supima cotton, a specific company of cotton. Calling themselves the “World’s Finest Cotton,” Supima is a non-profit organization founded in 1954, whose objective is to promote the increased consumption of American Pima cotton around the world.
American Pima is a classification of cotton determined by highly-trained classers. Classers often look for considerations like grade standards and ginning processes (American Pima’s color is typically a deeper yellow and roller ginned). The Board of Directors of Supima consists of Pima growers from Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Texas. Supima works closely with research programs to improve quality of American Pima, as well as with government organizations and agencies to ensure a fair marketing environment.
Elongated Silhouette
In recent years, t-shirts have started to become longer in length — with an elongated silhouette as mentioned in the Follow The Summer Crew. Longer tees are good for:
- Layering
- Pairing with belts to look trendy
- For taller women or women with longer torsos
Elongated tees are great for hiding your hips and belly (if so desired) or trying to make yourself look longer. Longer tees also are very versatile, with the ability to be tucked in or out.
