The youthful and ladylike shade of orange has been named Pantone’s color of the year. The delicious new fashion trend that has emerged has us drooling over everything and anything Tangerine Tango.

“There’s the element of encouragement with orange, it’s building on the ideas of courage and action that we want to move on to better things. I think it would be a disservice to go with a relaxed, soothing color now,” Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, told the Associated Press.

This vibrant and energetic color will get you and your outfit noticed… To be safe, pair it up with a neutral.

Ladies, this season the trend continues! So don’t put those roses, tulips or daisies away just yet.

Floral prints were up and down & head to toe all over the runways for Spring 2012. From Valentino to Proenza Schouler and Oscar de la Renta, florals were virtually in every designers list.

Although we’ve seen this trend in previous seasons, the new wave of florals is all about bold prints, intricate designs and vibrant colors.

Now that Halloween is over, it’s pretty safe to say that we can officially start preparing for the Holidays. In 3 weeks you’ll be stuffing your face with turkey and stuffing while laughing with family members you haven’t seen all year and before you know it you’ll be unwrapping gifts with those family members. My how time flies! To help you prepare for the Holiday rush we put together a Holiday shopping list that will make perfect gifts and stocking stuffers. Items such as designer sunglasses, watches and handbags will put a smile on anyone’s face. If you’re usually the person at the mall at 2pm Christmas Eve picking up everyone’s gift, we understand but we want to make it easier. Chickdowntown, as always will be open whenever you need us, adding new merchandise on a daily basis. Think it’s a little too early to start your Holiday shopping? With all the great deals happening on Black Friday we don’t blame you! Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year and we are going to make sure you save MORE than you would at the mall. Man, has it been a while! We have been busy adding new merchandise to the site and constantly trying to come up with new ways to make your shopping experience with us more pleasurable and fun. We are happy to announce that we will be featuring MORE brands that you love, such as BCBG, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors and also other up and coming contemporary designers that we know will make your heart melt. Since its October, that means Halloween is right around the corner! What are we dressing up as this year? If you are not the Halloween type, we have another way you can get in the spirit: by shopping with us! We will be having an un-BOO-lievable sale (sorry, had to throw in the Halloween reference ) on Halloween showcasing all of your favorite designers and brands at up to 91% off retail! Creepy huh? (Ok, that’s the last of the Halloween references).

Another important event that we are supporting this month is Breast Cancer Awareness. We will having a ‘Pink’ sale so you can stock up on pink merchandise to sport throughout the month and help bring awareness to a great cause.
