Here’s a fashion primer on how to wear ankle boots:
- Ankle Boots make legs look thicker. So if you have shapely calves or ankles, ankle boots might not be for you.
- Ankle boots can take inches off of your height. A platform or heel might make up for this handicap, but sometimes these shoes might not be for the petite or short-legged.
- There are many different styles of Ankle Boots. Such styles of boots include Patent Leather, Oxford, Fold-Over Snap, and Suede. Patent Leather, Fold-Over Snap, and Suede styles are pretty self-explanatory in description, while the Oxford style consists of laces or ties.
- If you wear Ankle Boots with a skirt or dress, make sure the length of the skirt or dress is cut just above the knee. Dresses or skirts with lengths below the knee don’t suit the Ankle Boot style as well.
