Today’s Sale Spotlight is Christian Dior. The famed French designer debuted his first collection, Corolle (which literally means circlet of flower petals), in 1947. At a time of boxy, conservative World War II styles, Dior strove to create “flower women” with voluptuous, soft silhouettes. Harper’s Bazaar editor-in-chief, Carmel Snow, named Dior’s revolutionary direction, “New Look.” Although it’s been over 50 years since his passing, Dior’s designs continue to push the fashion envelope attracting a loyal celeb following. CDT’s Site Wide SALE!

This morning we kicked off our site wide fashion sale. We are offering everything (except the majority of our watches) at up to 50% off of our prices, making items up to 85% off the MSRP! Why are we doing this? Good question! CDT just received a HUGE shipment of merchandise from two amazing stores, that we need to make room for. The chicks at CDT went through the closet and selected some of our top picks for this week’s sale. I personally am LOVING the maroon Prada pumps. They remind me so much of the Christian Louboutin pumps that Blake Lively wore in the season finally of Gossip Girl last season (I searched forever for a pic, but couldn’t find one). My second favorite piece, is also today’s Daily Deal – the Swiss Legend Karamica White Diamond White High Tech Ceramic that also looks exactly like the watch that Sandra Bullock wore throughout The Blind Side. 5.19 Deal of the Day: Rachel Leigh Exposition Bracelets

Rachel Leigh has been the one consistent jewelry line that we have carried at chickdowntown.com since its inception. The line was started by former Yves Saint Laurent publist, Rachel Blumenthal in 2004. Inspired by runway pieces and designer styling concepts, every season Rachel presents a fashion-forward, versatile assortment. This season’s collection is a combination of vintage inspired pieces with a pop of 80′s neons and bold metals. For today’s Deal of the Day, I wanted to feature the Exposition Bracelets.

We have used them in many lookbook shots – stacked, pieced together as a necklace, or by themselves, there are so many fun things you can do with these great bracelets.

What makes the line even better is that Rachel herself is an absolute doll. She is at every trade show and is incredibly approachable and sweet.
