Vera Wang, best known for her wedding designs, got her start in fashion at Vogue. She was the senior fashion editor there for sixteen years and decided to leave the company when she lost the editor-in-chief position to Anna Wintour. Versace is an Italian fashion label founded by Gianni Versace in 1978. When Gianni was killed in 1997, his sister, Donatella, stepped in as creative director and his brother, Santo, became CEO. As wished by Gianni in his will, Donatella’s daughter, Allegra, received half of the company in 2004 and now has final say in all of the important decision’s of the clothing line.
